Why is everyone talking shit about HBO’s GIRLS?
I agree the show isn’t representing minorities or underprivileged people but like, the show IS ABOUT PRIVILEGED WHITE GIRLS-that’s what it’s about-I think it would be hella more insulting if bitch tried to represent people she knows nothing about just to be politically correct.
Were yall represented in Breaking Bad or The Sopranos? No! So why didn’t yall flip about? Because those shows were made by/about men!
Like, why are we overlooking the fact that young, intelligent girls are finally changing things via making people confront shit like how horrible sex often is for us (“That was so good-I almost came”), how lolz abortions can be, how college is basically pointless and that most of us are kinda desperate and don’t know what being a “girl” means!
Can’t we be happy there’s a show that doesn’t show us as some fat man’s hot wife?
